Yes...all the old 70's suits went, and haven't worn one in years. However I went and bought a really nice one for a family wedding this year, looks and feels really good. My attire now is usually jeans and band tour T shirts.

Who Was Your Favorite Speaker?
by minimus inno brag, just fact---i was the most requested speaker in my hall(s), i was often requested to give talks in kh's all over the place, not just in my area.. i personally enjoyed speakers who taught you something, not merely recited something.
we had a district overseer, paul illingsworth, i loved his style.
he delved into bible words of the original greek and hebrew.

Did your parents make you tell people (at xmas time) that you got gifts throughout the year
by myusername ini see people saying this online.
my parents made us tell people tha we got gifts throughout the year and that we probably got more presents than kids get on birthdays and christmas.
however, it was a complete lie.

I can remember being daft enough to go out xmas day..............never again!!! I refused to go after the abuse and threats I got. But,if there is anyone daft enough to call at my door that day, then they will get treatd with respect and a plain 'no thank you' will ensue.
I still don't do xmas,really don't like it!!!

Where did you sit in the KH?
by Evidently Apostate inthe official wt understanding on where to park your butt during the meeting is to move around from meeting to meeting in order to get in more association or whatever but i never really saw things that way.
the kh seating arraingment at my hall went as follows;.
if you sat in the front you were really late or wanted to seem really spiritual.. the elders and pioneers always liked the same seats every meeting.. shiftless ones and those who wanted sympathy for thier back ailments would stand in the back during the talks.. ever had a sister in your hall bring in their own chair and footstool?.

I used to go and sit in certain ones pews on purpose to annoy them. Never had a place,we just went in and sat,but there were ones who liked thier own seats.
Are all Kingdom Hall seats uncomfortable?

Need Help From British Football Fans
by XJW4EVR ini have closely followed the premier league for the last 13 matchdays, and i am getting ready to pick a team that i will not only follow this year but for the foreseeable future.
i am not interested in chelsea, manchester u., manchester city or arsenal.
all four remind me of teams i loathe in american sports (cowboys, yankees, celtics).

I don't think anyone can see the reasoning behind that X.....I certainly can't. And not a good replacment either IMO.

Nice pic,Cofty. We had about 5 inches last week, then another heavy fall on Friday, but I still managed to get my bus out in it.
